Our offices are located in Antwerp South, close to the New Law Courts, the Court of Appeal, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Scheldt.
Emiel Banningstraat gives direct views of the New Law Courts, and runs roughly parallel to the southern end of Amerikalei. It is effectively the southern extension of Nationalestraat and Volkstraat.
Our offices are easily reached from Antwerp’s Ring Road (see the map above).
In the daytime there is ticketed parking in the street. You can park free of charge on the former southern docks (between the Vlaamse Kaai and the Waalse Kaai). Parking Gerechtshof is a public car park next to the New Law Courts. Take your ticket at the barrier. If necessary, we can let you use our underground parking space in Pacificatiestraat.
We recommend Antwerp-Tax. Ring +32 (0)3 238 38 38.
Persons arriving by train in Antwerp, may descend either at Antwerpen-Centraal, Antwerpen-Berchem or Antwerpen-Zuid.
The taxi ride from Antwerpen-Centraal and Antwerpen-Berchem to our offices lasts roughly 15 minutes. You can order a taxi from Antwerp-Tax by ringing +32 (0)3 238 38 38. The taxi will then wait for you at an agreed spot near the station exit. On your arrival we can settle your taxi bill with a taxi coupon from the office.
Alternatively persons arriving at Antwerpen-Centraal may take Tram 12 from Astridplein (the square in front of the station building). Take direction Bolivarplaats. The terminus is in Emiel Banningstraat, a few steps away from our offices.
Those arriving by train from West or East Flanders may conveniently descend at Antwerpen-Zuid. Our offices are just ten minutes away on foot.
ANTWERP SOUTH – PRACTICAL AND SYMBOLIC
Our offices lie in the district known as Antwerp South, between the New Law Courts and Court of Appeal. A more practical location is difficult to imagine.
Our position in the centre of town, means that we are close to all the local decision-making centres.
Antwerp South is an attractive district of former docks and houses built largely in Belle Epoque style towards the end of the 19th Century. Its most imposing building is the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.
Emiel Banningstraat links the New Law Courts with Lambermontplaats. Emiel Banning (1836-1898) was a close associate of, and aide to, Baron Auguste Lambermont (1819-1905), the man who succeeded in bringing the negotiations on the tolls in the Scheldt to a successful conclusion with the Scheldt Treaties of 1863. The lifetime achievements of both diplomats are a daily inspiration to us.
There are direct flights between London City and Antwerp (Deurne). With Antwerp-Tax (+32 3 238 38 38) it is a 15 minute taxi ride to our offices.
Persons arriving at Brussels Airport (Zaventem) are advised to order a taxi in advance from the aforementioned taxi firm. Antwerp-Tax will make a standard charge for the roughly 30 minute trip from Brussels Airport to our offices in Antwxerp.
There is also a direct train link between Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and Antwerp. Once you are in Antwerp, follow the recommendations given under “Taxi” or “Public Transport”.
The closest bike docking station for Antwerp’s bike sharing system (“Velo”) is on Bolivarplaats, in front of the New Law Courts. Other nearby docking stations are at Waalse Kaai (Fotomuseum), Troonplaats, and at Beeldhouwersstraat (Royal Museum of Fine Arts).
Our three conference rooms have capacities ranging from 10 to 30 persons.
